Hello and welcome!

Hi, I'm Thais Finger Martins, a Brazilian illustrator living in the calm and whimsical Luxembourg with my husband, our 2-year-old daughter, and two big cats. We've been here for over three years, and yes, the cats are trilingual now.

I’m a graphic designer graduated at UDESC, with a year abroad studying illustration and design at De Montfort University in Leicester, and a postgrad in Education from PUC RS because I love learning almost as much as I love drawing.

My journey into illustration started early — when my sister taught me how to draw circles and squares so I could skip a year of preschool (true story). I grew up surrounded by fairy tale books from my grandma’s basement, stacks of vintage comics, and a steady stream of Disney movies. Basically, art raised me and I’ve been drawing ever since.

Professionally, I started in 2017 at a fun design studio, where I created original products and worked with amazing licenses like Warner Bros., Harry Potter, and Garfield. Since 2020, I’ve been freelancing full-time, working on ads, surface design, games, puzzles, and even published (a)cumulonimbus, my first book as an author-illustrator.

These days, when I'm not drawing or telling my daughter to not pull the cats’ tails, you’ll find me at local art fairs, sharing my work, meeting fellow artists, and selling things I made with love (and probably a bit of cat hair).
